Death with a Fruitful Outcome: The Ultimate Sacrifice

Today, the expression, “Thank God it’s Friday” truly holds merit. In Christian circles, it is popularly referred to as “Great Friday”, “Holy Friday” and “Good Friday.” Some may wonder what makes this Friday more special than the others. This is a great question.  This Friday in history bears spiritual significance to believers across the nation and around the globe. Why? It is because it serves to commemorate the crucifixion of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Our Savior willingly suffered unto death for the sake of humanity. He could have bowed out and call it quits, but He didn’t. Why? It’s because His love for humanity runs deep. Jesus Christ lovingly put His life on the line for us. In other words, with His life, our Savior lovingly carved out an eternal path for us so that we can escape the sting of death. Jesus is a trailblazer in His own right and all praise, honor and glory is due His name, forever.
